Command and protection of water pumps used in hydropneumatic stations with two pumps.
Alternating Control Box with Alarm
With 2 "Probomba Digital" Relays for Wastewaters
- Plastic Box 460x448x160 mm in grey ABS RAL7035 with hinge and transparent lid.
- Contactors of the selected brands. - Alternating Relay for alternating and simultaneous command.
- Digital electronic relay for command and protection of pumps .
- Modular switch, which allows the automatic operation (AUT) or OFF (0), controlled in each of the
pumps independently.
- Alarm module (MCS-AL) with acoustic and luminous alarm included and with switch, allowing to
keep the acoustic alarm in automatic mode (AUT), test (teste) or OFF, without interfering with the
luminous alarm.
- Connection with reduced tension (12V) for motor remote start command (C11-C12, C21-C22)
(Float-switch, pressure-switch or others).
- Connection with reduced tension (12V) for alarm remote command (C31-C32) (Float-switch,
pressure-switch or others).
- Protection of the command circuit through circuit breaker.
- Protection of the power circuit against short-circuits and overcharges through circuit breaker.
- Indication of presence of tension of the command circuit (yellow LED on the alternating relay).
- Individual indication of motor ON (LED “Out” and Display PROBD21W).
- Individual indication of alarm in pump (red LED’s on the PROBD21W).
After doing all the connections properly, the control box shall present all the signaling OFF except the LED (10-11) (yellow) of the alternating relay, which indicates phase presence on the command circuit.
With the switches on the (AUT) position, every time the start command of the 1st pump (C11-C12) closes, one of the pumps shall be turned ON alternately. If the start command of the 2nd pump (C21-C22) closes, both pumps will start to operate at the same time.
Each pump turns OFF as soon as their individual relay detects a consumption lower than the minimum intensity “IL”, indicating on the display intermittently, “EIL” and the remaining time (hours) until the automatic re-start begins.
If during operation the PRObomba relay detects a consumption higher than the maximum intensity value “IH” for a period of time longer than 4 or 8 seconds, accordingly to the verified overcharge, the respective pump turns OFF and it is shown on the Relay’s display the message ”EIH” – overload error. The manual re-start may be done by the reset button “RST” of the relay or through its own switch of the command circuit, just by turning it OFF and ON again.
Every time that during operation it is verified that the supply tension is lower than the minimum or higher than the maximum parameter (pre-defined values from factory of 195V for the minimum tension and 245V for maximum) for more than 4 seconds it is shown on the display of the PRObomba Relay in every 4 seconds ”EUH” – error by surge of voltage or ”EUL” – error by sub voltage.
Every time the alarm command (C31-C32) closes or the maximum operating period of time is reached "EO" (pre-defined value), the luminous alarm through the red signal lamp and the acoustic alarm will turn ON, which may be turned OFF through its own switch.
